【Emiko】Report Writing - The Loch Ness Monster

Many people know there's a famous monster in Loch Ness. The monster is named as "The Loch Ness Monster".  The monster's nickname is "Nessie".  It sounds so cute.

The Loch Ness Monster first appeared in 565 AD.  A man called Saint Columba was the first person who discovered the monster.  After 565 AD, more people knew the Loch Ness Monster.  Many parents told their children about the monster, so the children must keep away from the Loch Ness. In 1933, a sighting of the Loch Ness Monster was the most famous one until now.  A news paper showed the picture of the monster to the world.  After this, there were about twenty sightings of the monster per year.

The Loch Ness Monster lives in Loch Ness.  This lake is in Scotland's highlands.  It is so bog and deep, but because of its landfom, the water quality of Loch Ness is  very turbid.  In the winter, it is cold.  That means the Loch Ness Monster's habitat environment is not very good.  And because Loch Ness is so deep, some scientists conjecture that there maybe are some other creatures in the lake with the Loch Ness Monster.

In the picture, we can see the countenance of the Loch Ness Monster: its nead is small and a little bit triangular.  Its body is much bigger than the head, there are two big humps on the body.  They help the monster to exercise.  There is also a tail on the body, that means the Loch Ness Monster looks like a dinosaur!  The color of it is dark gray.

Now, there still are many people who want to find the Loch Ness Monster.  They use radar to find things in the Loch Ness, but just ended up empty - handed.  Some scientists think the Loch Ness Monster is not a real creature.  Some people think the monster is real.  What do you think?

Emiko 目前正在上英文補習班正規課程的最後一期，在"Writing"部份，日前上了 " Report Writng"。

在教授完 Report Writing Skills 後，老師下發一張 "The Loch Ness Monster" 的文章，請同學寫成 Report ，並要求 report 中"不可以"出現文章中的句子。我想，會有此要求，應該是老師希望同學能夠消化文章中的內容，並用自己的想法寫出一份 Report。這一點，實在是很重要 ─ 消化，並擁有自己的想法！

在寫這份作業時，Emiko 除了看完老師提供的文章外，還到網路上蒐尋了相關資料。聽 Emiko 說，她寫的這份 Report 還被貼在英文補習班的大廳公佈欄。
